Gary Patterson (Tuscarora) Founder 1927 - 1990
Gary and Elma Patterson established American Indian Builders and Suppliers, Inc. dedicated to the ideal that hard work and trust will provide rewards. From initial ventures into remarkable hybrid grape farming and the exporting of Black Walnut logs to the veneer factories in West Germany, Mr. Patterson was always at the forefront of individual entrepreneurship.
Upon Gary Patterson's death in 1990, Elma Patterson, Tuscarora (President) retired as the Director of Indian Services for the State of New York and assumed the leadership role of American Indian Builders and Suppliers, Inc. The company has shown steady growth throughout the decade and expects continued expansion into the millennium. Mrs. Patterson graduated from Cornell University in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science Degree and in 1963 with a Masters Degree from the State University at Buffalo.
Working with his father, Kimball Patterson, Tuscarora (Vice President) learned the ideal that hard work produces rewards. Kimball has worked more than twenty-five years in the construction industry and is the estimator, field manager and contract negotiator for the company. He graduated from Niagara University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physics.
Kyle Patterson Cross, Tuscarora (Secretary) resides in North Dakota. She has a 1976 bachelor of Arts Degree from Harvard University, a 1979 Masters Degree (Public Health) from University of California Berkeley, a 1991 Masters Degree (Education) from Harvard University and is currently a doctoral student at Harvard University.
The office manager for American Indian Builders and Suppliers, Inc. is Mrs. Patricia Zahno and is helped by Ms. Christine Nastasi. The main warehouse and yard are found at the corporate offices in Lewiston, New York. The office staff since 1991 has used a complete computerized accounting and tracking system.
